Welcome to visiting Amelia Deng (AD) Psychotherapy. Thanks for trusting me for being your therapist. Therapy might be a new experience for you and I understand starting it may feel daunting. I’m honored that I can be here for you during this journey.

My name is Serena, and I am so glad you’re here. Whether you are navigating life transitions, seeking deeper self-understanding, or simply looking for someone to walk alongside you through the complexities of life, I am here to support you. I bring over several years of experience working with youth, children, and young adults. My work centres on supporting BIPOC and East-Asian individuals, and as an East Asian therapist myself, I understand the challenges of balancing cultural expectations and personal growth. I honour your courage in taking this step, and I am committed to helping you express and understand all aspects of yourself.
In our sessions, you can expect me to be fully attuned to your experience as we gently uncover past patterns in a collaborative way. My approach is depth-oriented, culturally integrative, and tailored to meet your unique individual needs. Together, we will draw on client-centred approaches as we move toward your therapeutic goals.
Perhaps you feel the weight of expectations—family, culture, work—pulling you in different directions. Perhaps you struggle with boundaries, self-doubt, and the fear of letting others down. Together, we will work towards a greater sense of well-being, and I look forward to the privilege of being a part of your journey.
